CIDB
The Construction Industry Development Board (cidb) is a public entity established under the CIDB Act of 2000 to lead stakeholders in construction development in South Africa. The construction industry is critical to the country’s economic and social development, providing physical infrastructure and employment opportunities. The cidb’s primary function is to facilitate and promote the construction industry’s improved contribution to the economy and society. Its mandate includes promoting uniformity in construction procurement, efficient infrastructure delivery, industry performance improvement, developing the emerging sector, and skills development.
