Cemza, a South African cement producer, developed a greenfield cement grinding facility in the Eastern Cape during the early 2010s. The Coega IDZ location in Port Elizabeth was chosen due to the availability of suitable land, infrastructure, and access to the Ngqura port. Regulatory approvals and permits were obtained, and a reputable contractor oversaw the construction of the state-of-the-art facilities. Cement production commenced on 17 November 2018, and Cemza’s skilled operations team offers customers a reliable and well-engineered cement option with energy-efficient technology.
